These cannons use up to 10 times more powder than a regularly built cast barrel would because we use high grade steel and the barrels have a 1" thick solid steel wall. We start with 6 oz (2625gr) and go up to 1/2lb (3500gr) and more.       Black powder cannons do not need any liscensing or permits to buy, own, or shoot, and are not subject to provisions under the ATF, GCA, or NFA. Shooting is legal almost anywhere and almost anytime when shooting blank loads. Just check for noise ordinance times in your area. But I've never seen or heard of any incidences over a noise ordinance. When ever police get called they either want to shoot it again or they end up buying one themselves. When shooting projectiles 500ft from buildings is in affect.
But most of all use your cannon sense and keep a great American past time alive!
